Zhejiang University was founded in 1897,The university, now has 113 specialties for undergraduate studies, and it is entitled to confer master’s degrees in 324 programs and primary (secondary) discipline doctoral degrees in 41 (252) programs.

Zhejiang University is one of the top Public universities in Hangzhou, China Mainland. It is ranked #53 in QS Global World University Rankings 2021. ZJU currently ranks among the top three In China and within the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and QS World University Rankings. Eighteen disciplines of ZJU have been selected for China’s “Double First-class” Initiative (3rd in China) and 39 disciplines graded A in the recent national assessment (1st in China).
